“Once the raw data is processed ... I use dtSearch Web with Spider. dtSeach provides unique characteristics that fit perfectly the handling of discovery and making the discovery available in a manageable and searchable format.”

“I handle massive discovery on just about any type of computer data case.  I always use dtSearch ... to glean relevant discovery data.”
ICFECIThe Institute of Computer Forensic Examinations and Criminal Investigations (ICFECI) was established as a a resource to the Criminal Justice Act Panel (Established by an Act of Congress - Title 18, United States Code, Section 3006A) and the United States District Courts. The ICFECI specializes in preparing for civil and criminal litigation, typically involving civil fraud and criminal schemes with large volumes of data.

Investigative expertise includes Securities Fraud, Health Care Fraud, Bribery and Public Corruption, Bank Fraud, Mortgage Fraud, Ponzi Schemes, Tax Fraud, Bankruptcy Fraud, and other Alleged Business Crimes. For its investigative work, the ICFECI maintains a fully configured and functional computer/cell phone forensic lab — including dtSearch. “I handle massive discovery on just about any type of computer data case,” says an ICEFCI CFE.  “I always use dtSearch.  I have been very successful using dtSearch to glean relevant discovery data, allowing attorneys and their clients to make informed decisions.”

The CFE also uses dtSearch after the initial raw data processing stage:  “Once the raw data is processed, attorneys need a way to access and search the data, usually via internet. So I use dtSearch Web with Spider. dtSeach provides unique characteristics that fit perfectly the handling of discovery and making the discovery available in a manageable and searchable format.”

In addition to litigation work, the ICFECI does training, recommendations involving software and hardware selection for computer forensics labs. ICFECI also assists with subsequent installation, configuration and training to get the labs up and running.
